Everything you need before you start: how the game works, what fair play means, and which rules keep Crazy Sal fun for everyone.
Fair play rules
Crazy Sal is a competitive game, but everyone should be able to enjoy it. These rules apply to every player.
- You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to stack advantages is not allowed.
- Cheating is forbidden, and so is exploiting bugs or errors in the game.
- Automating the game with bots or scripts counts as cheating.
- Threatening or insulting other players is not allowed, in the chat, on the forum or anywhere else.
- Circumventing a suspension or a mute is not allowed.
- Keep your password secret. Crazy Sal staff will never ask you for your password.
Sanctions and staff
When you break the rules, staff can give you a warning, stop you from using the chat or the forum for a while, or permanently kill your account. That is always a manual decision and it is recorded on your profile. Anyone sanctioned keeps no right to a refund of purchased virtual goods or VIP.
Do you disagree with a decision of a moderator? Open a helpdesk ticket with the date, the time and the players involved. Do not start a discussion in the chat: that only makes it worse. A Moderator or the Game Manager looks at every ticket personally.

Which staff ranks exist?
From highest to lowest: Game Manager (the owner), Moderator, Forum Moderator, Helpdesk, Chat Moderator.
Nobody can warn, mute or remove messages of someone with a higher rank. If you have two roles, your highest rank counts.
What are the warnings on my profile?
Every warning, chat mute, forum mute and account kill is recorded on your profile with the date, the kind, the reason and which moderator did it. You also see a counter at the top.
That list is only visible to moderators and the Game Manager, never to normal players.
What does a chat mute mean?
A Chat Moderator can mute you in the chat for 1 hour or 24 hours. You cannot post during that time.
On your profile you see the reason and the end time of the mute, and the mute is lifted automatically when the time is up.
What is an account kill?
For serious abuse the Game Manager can kill an account permanently: the account is dead and you cannot log in with it again.
That is always a manual decision, never automatic. Your e-mail address can be used again for a new account.
I do not agree with a decision of a moderator. What can I do?
Open a helpdesk ticket and describe what happened, with the date and time and the player or moderator involved. Do not start a discussion in the chat: that only makes it worse.
A Moderator or the Game Manager looks at every ticket personally.
How do I create an account and start playing?
Register with a username, an e-mail address and a password. You then receive a verification e-mail (the link is valid for 24 hours). Click it and complete your registration (country, gender). After that you can play right away.
You can also log in with your Google account.
I forgot my password. What now?
Use "Forgot your password?" on the login page. You receive a reset link by e-mail; check your spam folder if you do not see it within a few minutes.
Never give your password to anyone, not even to staff. Staff will never ask for it.
Why can I suddenly not attack, rob or travel anymore?
Normally because your health is 0: you are in the hospital. In jail the same applies until you break out. You can still use the Gold Shop, the hospital, the chat, the forum, your mail, the helpdesk and the daily rewards.
Also check whether your registration is complete and whether the bot check asked for an action.
Where do I change my e-mail, password or language?
In Settings (the gear icon). There you manage your account details and you choose the game language: English, Nederlands or Deutsch.
The language changes the whole interface, including the country names on the statistics page.
What happens when my health reaches 0?
You end up in the hospital. You cannot attack, rob or travel until you are back on your feet.
You keep access to the Gold Shop, the hospital, the chat, the forum, your mail, the daily rewards and the helpdesk.
How do I heal?
Pay the doctor with cash: the price depends on how much health you are missing, and you heal back to full.
Or use an Instant Heal from the Gold Shop: 250 Gold Bars for 100 health. That one also works while you are in the hospital.
How do I protect myself against attacks?
Buy 24-hour protection in the Gold Shop: 2,500 Gold Bars and you cannot be attacked for a full day.

How do I get out of jail?
In jail you cannot do most things. You break out with the break-out minigame: stop the moving marker in the green zone at the right moment.
If it fails, you try again later. Your sentence continues in the meantime.
What is a family?
A family is a group of players with their own name, tag, bank and family chat. You can found a family or join an existing one.
The family chat is only visible to your own family members.
Which family roles exist?
Don (boss), Sottocapo (underboss), Consigliere, Capo (caporegime) and member. The roles inside a family decide who leads and who can moderate the family chat.
The top 3 (don, sottocapo, consigliere) and the capos can remove messages from other members in the family chat.
Does my family earn from what I do?
Yes. 10% of what you earn goes to the bank of your family. If your family uses capo mode, 1% of that goes to your capo.
Your family bank is used for the family itself, and the leadership decides what it is spent on.
Where do I buy and repair vehicles?
In the garage you see the vehicles you own per country. There you buy, repair, sell, scrap or ship them.
Only vehicles that are in your current country can be repaired, sold or recycled.
How does shipping a vehicle work?
You ship a vehicle to the country where you are, for a fee. While it is on the way it is not available and you cannot sell it.
When it arrives, it becomes available in that country and counts towards your garage capacity there.
What is scrapping and what is scrap metal for?
Scrapping a vehicle gives you cash and metal instead of the normal sale price. The garage shows both amounts so you can choose.
Scrap metal can be sold and is used in businesses, such as the scrap market.
How do I get a business?
Businesses are bought from the State or from another player. A business earns cash for its owner, keeps its own stock (bullets, scrap) and can be upgraded.
When a player dies, their businesses can end up on a forced auction.
How does bidding on a business auction work?
You bid at least the minimum shown (a fixed percentage above the current bid). Bidding is anonymous: other players see "Anonymous", you see your own bid as "You".
In the last 10 seconds bidding is locked, so nobody can snipe the auction. You can be the highest bidder on only one business auction at a time.
Can I sell my business again?
Yes. You can sell it back to the State for 10% of your purchase amount, or put it on the 72-hour auction. In that last case the ownership leaves your account immediately and the buyer takes over the business with its cash and stock.
What is the daily login reward?
Every day you claim a reward from the calendar: cash, bullets, honour and more. The calendar runs in a cycle and each day is worth more than the previous one.
With VIP every reward is doubled. If you skip a day, that day is gone.
What are daily quests and the monthly event?
Daily quests are short assignments for extra cash, refresh every day and are done in a few minutes.
The monthly event is a limited-time event with its own reward. It appears in the menu while it runs; claim your reward before it closes.
What are the three chat tabs?
Global: everyone in the game. Family: only your own family members. Friends: private conversations.
Everyone in the room can read the global and family channels; in the Friends tab only you and the other person can read along.
How do I start a private conversation with a friend?
In the Friends tab you see the list of your friends with the last message and a counter for unread messages. Click a name and you are in a one-to-one conversation.
You can only send messages to your own friends; someone who is not your friend cannot read along.
How do I report a message or a player?
Open the menu next to a chat message and choose Report. The moderators see the message and the reason.
For something bigger (cheating, abuse, threats) open a helpdesk ticket: that stays between you and the staff.
How does the forum work and who maintains it?
The forum has boards with topics and replies, in the same style as the rest of the game. You can format your text with the toolbar above the text box.
A Forum Moderator manages the forum: removing messages, locking topics and temporarily stopping a player from writing.
Who can remove my chat message?
In the public chat: Chat Moderators and Moderators. In the family chat: the top 3 of your own family (don, sottocapo, consigliere) and the capos.
You then see "Message removed by a moderator" instead of the message; the moderators still see what was written.
What are Gold Bars and how do I get them?
Gold Bars are the premium currency: 500 Gold Bars equal 1 euro. You buy them in the Gold Shop, paid securely through Mollie (iDEAL, card, Bancontact and other methods).
Packages: 500, 2,500 or 5,000 Gold Bars. You can always see your balance in the shop.
What can I buy with Gold Bars?
Instant Heal: 250 Gold Bars for 100 health, and you can use it from the hospital too.
24-hour protection: 2,500 Gold Bars, so you cannot be attacked for a full day.
1,000 goon credits: 1,000 Gold Bars. 1,000 bullets: 500 Gold Bars.
Gold Bars are only spent when the purchase succeeds.
What is VIP and what do I get out of it?
VIP comes in packages of 30 days (4,99 euro), 90 days (12,99 euro) and 180 days (22,99 euro).
As a VIP player your daily login rewards are doubled (cash, bullets and honour) and your name carries the VIP mark in the game.
I paid, but I did not receive my Gold Bars or VIP.
Every order stays open for 60 minutes; you can resume an unfinished payment from the Gold Shop with the same button.
Gold Bars normally arrive immediately. Do you not have them after a few minutes? Open a helpdesk ticket with your payment reference and the time of payment. Never pay a second time: the first payment will be found.
Are payments safe and can I get a refund?
Payments run entirely through Mollie; the game never sees your card or bank details.
A refund is decided case by case. Open a helpdesk ticket with the payment details and the reason, and we will look at it with you.
